Are you currently attending an undergraduate or graduate university? At Shannon, we are happy to offer a selection of student shadowing and externship opportunities for those attending accredited colleges with interest in the medical field.

The following list details required items to volunteer within our facilities:

- Computer Security Form
- Code of Conduct
- Participation Agreement and Waiver
- Information Sheet
Attestation Letter to include clear background and drug screen from your college (not required for shadowing or observation only students)
Copy of ID/DL
Photo for Shannon badge
Immunization Requirements
- MMR x2 (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) or Titer
- HepB x3 or Titer
- Varicella x2 or Titer
- Tdap (Tetanus, Diphtheria, A-Cellular Pertussis) updated after the age of 14
- Negative TB Test within the last year
- Current flu vaccine (only during flu season, October-March)
- Covid-19

We are also proud to offer the Margaret Shannon Tuition Assistance Program to students showing promise in high-quality healthcare services. This scholarship covers 100% of the selected student’s tuition, books, and other fees, and is paid directly to the educational institution by Shannon. Learn more here!
