growth of skin cells, and while this typically occurs on skin exposed

Types of Skin Cancer
The type and stage of skin cancer present will determine your treatment
options. Superficial skin cancers, such as basal cell carcinoma, rarely
spread to other areas, so a simple excision can successfully remove these
small tumors. However, other cancer types, such as melanoma can spread
to surrounding tissue as well as the lymph system and blood—making
early detection incredibly important.
